I got back home after an eventful journey. I'll post some pictures and details about the trip soon. Thanks to everyone for your prayers, well wishes, and good thoughts. Please remember to keep Savi and Eli in prayer as they will begin their journey home on Sunday afternoon IST.

I’ve made it through to Frankfurt Germany, then on to Bangalore India. Everthything went smoothly and due to the fact that I work nights back home, the time change has played minimal havoc with my system. I’m just excited about seeing my wife, son, and extended family again.

My wife and son took several days to acclimate to the time change so they’ve been keeping weird sleeping hours up until now. I can only assume that it’s going to be tough for them to reacclimate to their normal schedules once we’re all back home.

For now though, we’re having a good time with family and friends as we prepare for my brother-in-law’s wedding tomorrow.

I’ll hopefully follow up with some more info and pictures of our upcoming holiday in Thekkady, a resort area in the Southern part of India.

Enter this in the "If I ran an airline, things would be run differently" column.

Now I'll be the first one to admit that I am often always scatterbrained or disorganized, but at least I don't leave people hanging out to dry like my airline almost did to me. I am all packed up and ready to go on my trip to India, so I called and arranged for my cab, then called the airline to confirm my departure gate information only to find that my flight had been cancelled and I was rescheduled for 12.5 hours later. That's 12 and a half hours I would've been forced to sit around the airport staring at people get on and off planes or drink overly expensive Starbucks coffee all day.

Sheesh people, how hard would it have been for the airline to give me a call or send out an email? I know they have both on file since I'm part of the frequent flier program they have? Sigh, oh well, at least I have less layover time now with the rescheduled flight.

Thanks for taking a look at the blog. I plan on updating with info on my trip to India this month.
